HORRIBLE AWFUL COMPANY. VERY SHADY!

STARTED OFF WITH THE SALESMAN JAD COMING TO OUR HOUSE AND SAYING HE WAS WITH ADT AND WANTED TO UPDATE OUR SERVICES!!

HE WAS NOT THEY ARE SUBCONTRACTED WITH BRINKS HOME SECURITY. WE ASKED JAD SEVERAL TIMES YOU ARE WITH ADT AND HE SAID YES! THE ONLY THING THAT WILL CHANGE IS WHO ANSWERS YOUR ALARM CALLS! WE EVEN HAVE THAT CONVERSATION ON OUR RING DOORBELL APP AND OUR CAMERA APP IN OUR HOUSE.

HIM SAYING THESE THINGS!

SO WE AGREE. NEXT DAY INSTALLER COMES OUT AND STARTS THE INSTALL AND HE IS WEARING A BRINKS SHIRT! I ASKED YOU ARE WITH ADT AND HE GOES SILENT AND CONTINUES THE INSTALL. WE ARE ALSO GETTING NEW FURNITURE THAT DAY SO I AM NOT GIVING THIS MAN MY FULL ATTENTION.

ONCE THE INSTALL IS COMPLETE HE HAS ME INSTALL THE BRINKS PHONE APP AND I AM LIKE WHAT? THEN HE CALLS HIS CORPORATE AND HAS ME AGREE TO THE INSTALL AND THE LADY ON THE PHONE SAYS NOW YOU NEED TO CALL ADT AND CANCEL YOUR SERVICE! I WAS LIKE WTF IMMEDIATLY CALLED THE SALESMAN AND GOT THE SAME SONG AND DANCE!

I THEN PRINTED THE CONTRACT AND SAID CANCEL THIS SERVICE. IT WAS THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND THAT DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED!

HOW CONVIENT!

THEN I LOOKED AT MY OLD ADT EQUIPMENT THAT HE HAD TAKEN OUT AND IT WAS DESTROYED! CRACKED MOTHER BOARDS, CAMERA LINES CUT.

I THEN CALLED ADT AND TO GET THERE EQUIPMENT REINSTALLED AFTER IT HAD BEEN DESTROYED WAS $594.00. WONDERFUL!

I THEN SENT A CERTIFIED LETTER TO SKYLINE SECURITY ON FRIDAY CANCELLING THE SERVICE BECAUSE YOU HAVE 3 DAYS TO DO SO.

CALLED THEM MONDAY AND THEY Were NOT HELPFUL AND THEN THE SALESMAN JAD KEPT CALLING AND SENDING ME TEXT SAYING WE DONT WANT TO Lose YOU AS A CUSTOMER . I WAS LIKE NO GET YOUR EQUIPMENT OUT OF MY HOUSE AND DONT CONTACT ME AGAIN.

I THEN CONTACTED THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND SAID HOW ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.

YOUR TECHNICIAN DESTROYED MY EQUIPMENT AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT REINSTALLED.

WAS TOLD THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WOULD CONTACT AND I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM. HAVE SENT SEVERAL EMAIL AND MADE PHONE CALLS.

EVERY TIME I CALL I GET PUT ON HOLD FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND THEN THEY HANG UP!

I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO LEAVE BAD REVIEWS AND CONTACT THE BETTER BUSINESS AND FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT. I ALSO AM WORKING WITH ADT AND THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT AND THEY HAVE THESE VIDEOS.

I had Jad as well! He also initially told me he was with ADT to get in the door and that he was here about a free upgrade...

that a lot of people were having issues with their systems and he was there to fix it. Once we finally realized he was with another company, he said he could save us money on our monthly bill AND pay us back for canceling ADT. This was Oct ‘20 and it’s now Mar ‘21... we have texted multiple times but I still don’t have a check for the $416 it cost to switch services.

And he’s been ghosting me for a month now. Always promised to get right back to me or “check’s in the mail” but nothing ever happened.

Very dissatisfied

Skyline sales rep made an offer that we couldn't resist, they offered to take over our cameras from adt and install two additional cameras. They were not able to cover the two cameras we had from adt saying they were encrypted and it couldn't be done. I contacted a supervisor and then set a complaint, skyline did nothing to resolve the problem, just left us hanging and gives us the runaround every time I call again. I asked for corporate information, they would not give it to me. They said they would talk to the sales guy for offering us something that he couldn't fulfill and that we could pay3503

The people at Skyine Security are the go-between for getting a Brinks Security System in your home. Theyll tell you *anything* to get you to sign up with Brinks Security through their company. DONT BELIEVE THEM! They lie to you, try to sweet talk you, offer things they really cant (or wont) deliver on. The sales rep told me *he* would take care of cancelling out my old service with ADT security. I asked him to send me written confirmation of the cancellation of my ADT service. He never did. Never. Instead, the next time I heard from ADT, it was a bill for a $702.50 cancellation fee.

AS I pulled into my driveway this subject stopped and came up my driveway and advised me that he was here with and offer to upgrade my ADT service. This sales person stated that he had permission to assist ADT to upgrade their service to 5G which they needed help to because they had over 3million service with old outdated service consoles. He stated that ADT was now with Brinks so they were actually the same company now. Never once did he even say that I was signing a contract that was permanent and that to disconnect I would have to pay a 58-month cancellation fee.

My issue started June 26th, 2020. A salesman working for Skyline Security, Triston Mitton, showed up at my door trying to sell Direct TV and Internet services and said he was going to save me money. I was not impressed about his offers until he offered to sell a package deal that also included a Brinks home security system, Direct TV and internet for $140.00 a month. I finally agreed and signed what he gave me. An installer of the brinks system was there immediately and installed the Brinks equipment and Triston said the Direct TV and Internet equipment would be installed the following day. I did not receive the Direct TV or internet I tried to contact Triston through phone calls and text messages. I was told that the Direct TV/Internet installer had an accident and would be there in a day or two. I got a call from AT&T finance to ask some finance questions. They didnt like my answers and was denied Direct TV and Internet. I immediately tried contacting Triston to let him know if I was not getting all 3 services for what he had WROTE down then I do not want anything and come get the Brinks system out. I NEVER heard back from him. I called Skyline Security directly to get to the bottom of the situationn and was told that Triston lied and should have never offered a package deal because there are no package deals, but I was stuck with a 5-year plan. I explained that Triston wrote this down. I sent Skyline a copy of the written note that Triston wrote down and once received I was told again should not have done that because there are no packaged deals. I then said that since he lied and wrote things down that were not true, I should not be held accountable for this contract. I unplugged all the Brinks equipment on July 10th. Just 2 weeks after the install. I have been trying to resolve this situation since the beginning of July and have gotten nowhere. On or about September 10th or 11th I was told by a Skyline customer service rep that the best she could do would be charge me 1 year of service plus a couple hundred dollars cancelation fee. I asked to send me the write up bill. I never received that bill. Then on September 27th I received another call from A Skyline Security rep and was told that I would have never been told about a I year charge plus a cancelation fee and would have to pay 3 years and a cancelation fee. I then spoke to Marisol on September 28th, the Manager of Customer Service and wanted a copy of the text messages between myself and Triston Then I received a bill in the mail for $4,116.72 on September 30th. The bill was sent out before the text messages were even looked at or considered. Not only did Triston lie, he wrote down an offer that was a lie, I have been lied to on numerous occasions from Customer service personnel and now being scammed out of a lot of money. The monthly change for services d is $60.00 a month. If what the customer service personnel said about paying a year of service plus a couple hundred dollars cancelation fee that would be around $920.00. Then another call from another customer service person stated 3 years of service plus a couple hundred cancelation fee that comes out to $2360.00. Then I get a bill for over $4116.72 is totally OUTRAGES. I also received a letter from Skyline dated 7/27/2020 stating that they have been trying for WEEKS to work things out but again no action. I am not paying this outrages bill for being lied to along with a written offer from a salesman, and lied to from 2 customer services reps about differing charges and fees. I dont know what else to do. I //have been lied to and scammed from the start. Starting with the salesman Triston to numerous customer service personnel. I have spoken to a few personnel at Brinks and they understand my situation and agree that I have been wronged but have said that I can only resolve the situation with Skyline. I feel that its both Brinks and Skyline to resolve this situation. Brinks personnel has said that they can tell that my equipment has not worked since 7/10/2020. Since Skyline is an Authorized dealer of Brinks. I dont feel that Brinks wants an authorized dealer treating people the way they have treated me. I would like a response or a phone call from someone higher up than customer service to know that this entire situation has been investigated and a reasonable solution can be made. Scammed

Go to small claims court you can Go up to $25,000. Take all your documentation and write a list of everything that’s transpired.

Dates times and names. Explain how your were lied to from the very beginning and tried to cancel but they wouldn’t respond. I see that Brinks has 30 day trail that will refund any money and take back there equipment. You could have done that in the beginning but that’s why they stroked you and wouldn’t respond so it would run out the return policy for Brinks!

They are straight up scam artist telemarking P.O.S. I would think the judge will take all the info you have and rule in your favor! I would remove all the equipment and put it in the boxes they came in if you have them, if not put everything in one box and show the judge. Talk to your neighbors and see if they were scared also.

If yes get everyone together to file small claims! Good luck and remember what happened and please do t let it happen again!

Your sneaky auto renewal from 2014 just got me

So in 2014 I had this company take over my alarm from ADT. I sold my house this year and got a bill for $939 for cancellation. The last time I signed was in 2014 and in the small print it said auto renewal after 60 months is up it will auto renewal for another 60 months. Wow, this is a DIRTY TACTIC! So here ADT took over all these contracts in 2018 so I had to pay this to ADT because I sold my house 6 years after having my alarm installed. READ YOUR CONTRACT IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY OR ADT BECAUSE THEY ARE BUYING THESE CONTRACTS FOR THIS EXACT REASON, TO GET YOUR MONEY THEY DIDNT EARN DOING ANYTHING BUT HAVING THE VERY FINE PRINT

Your employee came out and talked with me about the system. He the asked for my husband and I names and date of birth! I told him I wanted it and he said he would be right back because he had to call his supervisor! He never returned however I received a message about my credit report! He didnt ask if he could check our credit! He lied about his supervisor! Never send someone to my door without asking can he check our credit again! I am currently an employee of Skyline Security in Downey California, this is the road I have chosen to go with this Company. Let's me start off by saying the entire company is not shady! There are a very select few who I hold a high level of respect towards still but upon circumstances of them stealing my commissions, charging me unapproved fees, unethical field training, and trying to bully me for the last year I am tired of it and want to make sure anyone who is looking to do business with them or be employed by them is aware of what is it come. I started d2d selling 2 years ago. Was very successful in telecoms. I started selling alarms for them in the beginning of 2019. Very promising commissions and they deliver on it. After my first few checks were short (hundreds of dollars) I realized I needed to stay vigilant on making sure my pay was correct on the "projected payroll" they send out mid week before pay.. For the last year I've had to email corporate almost every pay period (weekly) to correct commissions I've earned or they would have gotten away with stealing THOUSANDS of dollars from me. The same goes for my friends that I've brought on. I then started getting unknown fees taken out of my commission and the explanations summed up up be because it was in the best interest of the company not to lose a customer who hadn't been paying their monthly monitoring they decided to credit them their bill without my approval and they charged me for it. Let's get to the field side. We are trained off the back to say scripts at the door. The door scripts involve being deceitful to customers saying we are going to give them free security systems for letting us use their house as a model home or letting us put our yard signs out to advertise for us, install it for free, and tell them they wont have to pay anything at all. Then when all the hype is built and the customer is eating out of our hands we have to drop the ball on them saying they are responsible for the monitoring as we ask for a voided check and are already scheduling a tech. All my customers can vouch I make them well aware that they pay a monthly monitoring service up front. That's one of the most used ones I was taught. I made my own through reaching out to different reps and asking them for more pitches with integrity. They run peoples credit without telling them. I hear every week how reps have a certain class or demograph of customers that they can 100% pull this off with every time. It's an addiction for them. Brings me to my point here in this day at this time. I left the company because of these things a few months before today. I recently came back because of the impression all the "bad hatchlings" were gone and its turning a new leaf. My very first check I am short $186. I get the higher ups involved they fix it. Then I'm charged another one of these fees that I was unaware of. This fee just so happened to have been authorized behind my back while I was no longer working with the company. So they gave me the choice to either accept the loss or keep fighting with them and they'll charge me the full accounts worth of commission which now I owe them -$680 because I wont let a company bully me out of my integrity and earnings. I was conned into changing my service to Skyline/Brinks. Equipment has to date never functioned properly. Technical support is ineffective and almost impossible to reach Skyline. They are a very unethical company.

I just got your system and now cann't leave my home because system turns itself off when i turn it on .

I set my alarm before I left and check it by phone to make sure it was on, when I got home to turn it off I found out that it was turned off 4 minutes after I had turned it on. I don't feel safe with your system. And would like to cancel and haven't had your system a month yet plus you can never speak to anyone

I finally got someone from Skyline to send me a copy of Mr Mooney’s business card. Not easy!

Since you already asked, my issue has finally been resolved. I tried for 2 months to get a business card from your contractor, Mathew Mooney, to no avail. He never sent me one. It took the efforts on 3 people in your front office, to include your attorney, Micah, to get the business card. Mr Mooney is the type of sales person that once the sale is made he forgets about his customers. Not good for your company or your reputation. I had ADT for 10 years and I was never treated this way. Not happy!

Now my garage camera dont work witch means I will have to disconnect it and reconnect it for it to work

This company has failed to give us good service I had to disconnect and reconnect my own camera cause the cameras go down the door bell they provide only detects the vehicals and dont detect ppl near my front door and we have it at the highest sensitivity qe had to replace twice the door bell camera and they put the garage camera on the wrong location and now they want us to pay for relocation and I am having to call on a daily to get these issues resolved pluse the inside door sensors sometimes dont work we lock up all doors and when we ready to set alarm it says it cant turn on alarm cause a door is still open witch they are not we have to try alarming system three times before it works we ar paying alot of money for a *** service and we want to get out of contract but they want us to pay $3000 to be able to leave the contract I dont have that kind of money wtf I dont recommend this company cause its costing us money and headachs cause their techs and representatives dont do their jobs to help keep our home safe

It took us 5 months to get the paper contract on a Brinks security system that was was installed at 89 year old mothers house.

My mother was scammed into this home security system.It had an alert necklace that she thought covered her wereever she went.After I checked into it I found out that is only good for 200 feet.Then I found out that they were taking 50$ a month out of her checking account on a three year contract.My mother told me that the told her that it was for two years.I called the salesman and told him that I wanted some paper work on this transaction.This transaction took place on june 1 2019 and we received the paper work on October 5,2019.According to the contract,you three days from date of installation to cancel if you want.That would be hard to do,as we had paper work for 5 months.They also set up an Email address for my mom to get information.This would have been just,but for one little problem.She does not have a computer.All that I want is for them to pick up their stuff and leave her alone.Quit preying on the elderly people!

If these people show up on your doorstep either do not open or refuse anything they try to sell you! The main salesmen literally pounded on my door so hard it was literally borderline going to break my door. I then opened it as he was yelling my name and said he has been trying to contact me the last few days. Which is a lie I’ve never had any missed call or email from this company. He then goes on to tell me that Brinks has bought out ADT and all their contacts can be handled by skyline security from now on. He was pretty pushy, but told an incredibly detailed story which I fell victim to. Anyway after talking with him on my porch for about 5 minutes he let me know he could give me a few more cameras for free, install the new cameras that same day and get me lower rate than I had with ADT; all lies. My wife was home too and he then told me that since we were both on the house we both had to be on the account. Later i found this to be a lie as well - each social they run counts as a sale. They a real sales driven- okay back to the story he didn’t disclose that our credit would have a hit against it nor did he disclose that ADT wasn’t going out of business nor did he have any equipment on him to even install it that’s same day as promised! To make a long story short we called Skyline back the very next day- even if you got conned into signing the contract like we did you have 72 hours to change your mind. After we called and cancelled the account the main salesman contacted my wife on her cell phone and was extremely rude and disrespectful, made borderline threats to her to the point we filed a police report! Stay away- door to door salesmen are a joke. These people are not Brinks and should be shut down.
